| Time: 4:27 Location: Somewhere in Maine So a kid of around 18 is sitting in his room with shit to do. You know? Just sitting on the computer chatting with friends online. He decides to take his stash out and roll a J of the good new shit he just picked up. So he finally rolls it and admires the almost creative aspect of the joint in the final product. They are truly amazing to behold. Quickly he formed a plan. He couldn't just smoke it there, his mother was in the house. He had to figure out a way of sneaking out to spark the awesome J. So he decided, since his mom was preoccupied with artwork, he could just leave a note saying he went for a short walk. And that's what he did. The kid put on a beanie and wore the joint in the brim of the hat. Put his favorite jacket on, left the note on the board, and proceeded out the door. Quickly he had to chose his path he wanted to go in, the kid went left. And started walking down the icey hill. The next thing he knew he was walking toward the forzen over lake. There was a small path leading into very thin woods around the lake. He proceeded down the path and realized he would, no matter what, be in view of the road. And what's more it would be from two points. He found a particularly nice spot in between two of the bigger trees just on the edge of the lake. It was actually a pretty good view. He pulled the joint out quickly and sparked it up. The joint started puffing like a champ without hardly trying. After a few tokes the kid knew he was fucked and he coughed somewhat. After finishing it up he started walking still away from home. He was blitzed as fuck but wanted to get something at the store. The cold was starting to become bothersome. A strange thing occured as the kid was walking into the parkinglot of the store. He heard a "beep" clearly. A very familiar beep. He knew it was the beep that his watch did on the hour. But the strange thing was, his watch was in his drawer back at home. He thought it was strange and reminded himself to make it a point to look at the clock when he walked into the store. As he walked in he peered up where he knew the clock was, and could not believe his eyes. It appeared to be exactly 5:00. "Is it really 5 o'clock?" he asked. "Yeah it's 5," replied the cashier turning to look behind himself to see the clock. Wow the kid thought to himself. Next thing on the agenda was to find the certain snack food he figured would satisfy. Looking at the soda section he decided he wanted a good soda he had not had for a while. It ended up being Mountain Dew: Code Red. Which felt perfect because the entire incident felt like mission: impossible. He also found some good macadamia nut cookies. Waiting in line felt like an eternity. Some lady ahead of him was trying to pay with a bad card or something. "Oh wait I can pay with cash," she says. "But it might take a minute, hold on, can you ring these guys through?" The kid and the other guy in line behind the girl just patiently waited. After what felt like a lifetime the kid finally got to the cashier holding his prized code red, and cookies in his hand. The cashier gives him a funny look and asks for four something or other. The kid hands him a twenty that somehow he found in his pocket. Putting his change back in his pocket the kid asks for a bag. Which the cashier can barely accomplish; stuffing the cookies and soda into a bag far too small to fit both. Now his mission continues. Marching up the icey pathway, bag in hand, he could tell how slippery it was by swishing his feet when they each landed. All of the sudden he was walking up his driveway. The last step was a gamble. Whether or not his mom would still be drawing or not. If she wasn't there would be a good chance he would see her. But luck had it she was still upstairs. The kid went to the bathroom, washed up and pledged victory. His mission was complete. And with plenty of time to go venture back into his room, sit at his computer, and write this story. True story. I am still very baked from the expedition. Thanks to anybody that actually read it all. And there may be quadrillions of mistakes but gimme a break, I'm the highest I've been in a long time. Just writing this right now is crazy enough. Thanks! ![]()
