|  Myself and I This is something I wrote a few years ago, when I was going through a difficult time. I thought I'd share it here since I'm sure a few of you out there have felt this way before. Enjoy! Myself & I I am tired of myself. I’m fed up with the way I treat myself. Perhaps I could divorce myself? No, too much paperwork. Too much legal hassle. I wish we could just work out our differences. But we’ve tried that before. Where did it go wrong? Sure I’ve lied to myself. Who hasn’t? And maybe I’ve cheated on myself a few times. But what of it? You try staying true to yourself When you can’t stand who you are! But I can’t afford to lose myself. Every poem and song and story we’ve written-- Imagine the child support! Maybe we can try to work it out one last time, And just agree to disagree. |
