Does cooking with weed smell because my parents are going insane due to the fact that I smoke weed, and I was thinking of maybe just getting like a 8th and making a few brownies and if that works make an o worth or something, because I can control myself completely while high, just the smell of smoke always gets me caught.

I don't think it smells but if it does then it most likely does not smell strong.

OOOOooooohhhhh it smells, open every window have the vents on and cook some Asian food(ling-ling potstickers cover anything) and leave the Asian food pan out, that should help with smell but leave a time cushion of at least 2-3 hours, and if you can try to get your hands on water leaf clippings from a grow and make cannaoil out of them, then add liberal amounts to the browny mix, my friend makes them this way a quater ounce worth in every brownie and they are POWERFUL, and very oily almost hard to eat they taste so much like weed

It smells, very much so, trust me. If you have proper ventilation when cooking though you should be ok. Make sure you properly clean all cooking hardware you used too. ![]()

As has been said, yes, it smells. Maybe not as much as smoking a joint in the kitchen will smell, but anyone home will notice. Beyond opening windows/doors to vent air, you could try using boil safe plastic baggies for making cannabutter. Leave some room for air expansion and seal/tie it air tight or as close to it as you can. Stirring would be more difficult but it is possible.

Ok, thanks for all the info. Is there a specific way that I can cook such as using creme in the microwave or something that prevents it from smelling too bad. I can get mids cheap so cooking would be a good option for me.

foolcoolguy--The microwave won't work for cooking the oil/butter. You have to simmer the oil or butter for hours on end, I do mine 6-8 hours. Anyway you cook with it, it's gonna smell, and smell real bad. Much worse than a joint or anything like that. It's just the making of the oil/butter that smells, once you have that your in the clear for smell. When cooking don't go over 392 degrees or you'll wreck the thc in it. Ways I've done it is in the oven, on the stove, and in a slow cooker. They all smell real strong though. Alleycat
