From what Ive read so far bout recipes, with marijuana, is all you need to do is chop up the weed, mix it with something like brownie mix or something heat it up to 300 degress and the thc, will release, and bond to the fat. Is this correct. Because if it is then wouldnt it be possible to create pot popcorn? I used to make popcorn, using this method. Buying the corrnels, puttin them in my pop corn popper then taking butter putting it in a coffee cup and heating it up, then pouring it on the popcorn. Now wouldnt it be possible to chop up the pot really fine, stick it in the cup of butter, heating it to 300 degrees melting it, then pouring in on the popcorn to make some really kickass popcorn? Then just sprinkle some salt on it, bag it up and take it to the movies with ya. If this is true then going to the movies will be fun for to reasons, the popcorn and all the lovin on the backrow

Canabutter my freind.

You can use canabutter on aything and everything. Im not sure what the saturation of thc in butter is, what I mean is Im not sure just how much THC you can get in to butter until its reached saturation point. So dont put like an ounce in a stick of butta, duh. You can even let canabutter harden and use it for spreading on anything.

Oh one more lil question, how exactly could i heat the canabutter? Could I use a microwave? If so how many min. do I set it for? Or is there another safe way that I could heat the canabutter? Well that was 4 questions but oh well.

Here ya go, panama might know better on this one, but Ill do ma best. Use a double boiler. This is a special double pan that fit on top of each other. The bottom has water, and the top, butta (or any other fatty substance) and ganja. The purpose of a double boiler is to keep the butter from burning. You can improvise a double boiler really easy, any pot with water, and somthing that will float in the water or rest on the pot partially submerged. Get that pan hot, make sure the water is boiling, then add butta and ganja. On high heat let sit for 5 minutes, make sure the butter doesnt burn. Then let simmer on medium heat for 15. Hope that helped.

Hey I was just thinkin that if i cooked up some popcorn, then mixed some weed with butter and put it in the microwave for about :40 seconds it would melt the butter and absorbe the thc and the heat would activate it, then I could pour the butter over a strainer to get rid of the plant material and pour it onto the popcorn. Do you think that would work?

Sure it would work. Would it be good? Uh...why don't you try it and tell us? Basically you explained making cannabudder, then simply pouring it over popcorn. Just a tip; I would saute the butter (use extra fatted European butter if you can), maybe 4 tablespoons butter with 1 1/2 grams weed. It is worth it to buy the cheesecloth to strain it, or use pantyhose. A bag of microwave popcorn should nicely serve two, maybe 3. Try it out, but NO microwaving butter! You must grind your bud to a powder and saute it on the stove for 10-20 minutes without burning it. Good luck, let us know if it's any good going down!
