| I like relish! I mix mine with fresh thyme or oregano if I have them available. Then I add it to ham and cheese sandwiches.

| First place: Ketchup. Followed by an extremely close second: Barbeque sauce. I put ketchup on everything. Sometimes I just dip bread in it. Sometimes I mix ketchup and barbeque sauce for a delicious, yet mild, tangy ketchup. This sounds extremely strange. So strange that I think I must try it just to satisfy my curiosity, but I don't eat ham (or any meat). Is relish with thyme or oregano good with anything else? I have soy hot dogs that I could try it on...will that do?

| I've had a fantastic dill aioli, which I want to try with mint, and also a phenomenal wasabi mustard, and I absolutely love olive tapenade, but then nothing beats some good ol' butter...I suppose it really depends on the situation.

the relish and thyme thing originally started with cheese sandwiches. I would just put cheese and mayo and thyme on a sandwich. However, I seem to recall you saying that you disliked mayo in another thread so maybe that wouldn't be the best. I have a lot of fun trying to move flavours around and understanding exactly what I'm getting into. I've been exploring a lot with cooking this year and I'm doing what I can to wrap my brain around all the different flavours available to the modern cook. Big steps for a guy that used to burn toast. | |
