Well, I just tried this tonight.. I took some reefer and boiled it in a pot of water with a half stick of butter for 45 minutes. The resulting slime was placed in a deep freezer to isloate the water from the THC butter quicker than refridgeration. The THC butter extract scum layer was then removed from the top of the water surface and poured into a glass.

I somehow managed to drink down around quarter cup of the THC butter all in 2 chugs (kinda like you see people take hard liquor shots). To my surprise I was also able to keep it down without it all coming back up!

Effects were felt within 20-30 minutes of ingestion and comparable to brownies.

Let me tell you, YOU GET MAD TORN off the extract quickly. Not something for the weak hearted or health conscious.

Sounds like Ill stick to brownies. Actually, my friend made brownies once, first time he tried, used quite a good quality of ganja in 2 cups of oil. We made the brownies, ate them, and for me, next to nothing. I ate 4 brownies, and ended up with a tiny buzz. I don think my friend got very much out of it either. Have any Idea what went wrong? We heated the ganja in oil for about 25 minutes on a double-boiler.

There's a recipe I saw for a pot drink called creme d'gras a while back. I forget the exact details, but it involved straining weed in vodka and letting it sit for a while, and the end result is about a 40 proof drink that'll get you stoned off your ass.

Not sure what went wrong, urban-ninja. Maybe you didn't heat it hot enough. I read it has to be heated to 300 degrees. I ate weed on two different occasions. The first time I was sure it was heated beyond 300 degrees. i got really really high. The second time my cousin did it and the brownies were cold by the time he got there, and seemed under baked a little. It definately has to do with the heating.

The boiling point of THC is 200 degrees farenheit. Simmering for 45 minutes is usually suffient to extract any and all THC.
