| With the 4th of July coming up, and I'm assuming some of you will be grilling that day, I thought I'd share a good marinade I came up with while I was rather stoned one night. I live in Alabama so I'm not sure if everyone has access to the ingredients or not. But I will share anyway. I should probably let you know, that this is a bit salty, but I love salty foods. Also I don't really measure the ingredients out. I just give it a good couple of sprinkles. Start with some Dale's, Moore's, or whatever brand of marinade you like, pour it into a container of some sort for your meats to soak in later. Then I add some crushed red pepper, Texas Pete hot sauce, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and, now I don't know if everyone can get this or not, but I add what is called Tony Chachere's creole seasoning and some Tony Chachre's spices n' herbs, and some lemon and pepper seasoning. Mix all that together and let whatever you're grilling soak in it for about 20 to 30 minutes. Then throw it on the grill and enjoy. If you like it salty, you can add more of the saltier ingredients if you want to. Like I said, I don't really measure it out. Give it a try. All of my friends, stoner and non stoner, loved it. Now whenever we grill out, I make it. Hope everyone has a Happy 4th! |
