| I just throw already vaped herbs into a pan with butter or oil, cook it and throw it in. I don't even strain it or anything. Does it make a difference? |

| I think that the more time you spend on it, the more potent you can make it. That would be one argument for making a large batch of cannabutter and spending lots of time on it. Of course whatever works for you is fine. Leaving the bud in just affects the taste and texture (and possibly allows you to intake more THC). |

| The advantage to leaving the weed in is that you're sure to get every bit of THC it contains. The disadvantage is a kind of gritty texture in the finished product.

| High fiber cooking can be very healthful. For me it depends on what I am actually cooking up. Canna-butter for white pastry or frostings, sometimes with a little food coloring to get it a cool flourescent green. But for cooking? I like to just saute pulverized weed in olive oil with a bit of butter added for richness as the base to any Mediterranean cooking. Add a couple of cloves of garlic, salt and ground pepper and you are good to go with anything else ~ I also reserve the weed I use to make cannabutter and use that pulverized weed/butter mess for cooking (a spoonful in stews, soups, etc.) |

| Thanks, I don't mind the taste of the matter at all. I just want to make sure the THC wasn't wasted. I just thought that it wouldn't be activated unless it was boiled at a certain temperature or something. |

| I'm pretty sure you need to use butter or you won't get anything out of your bud. People don't have the necessary enzymes in their stomach to digest plant matter properly, so you need to use either butter or alcohol, which thc is soluble in, to get the goodness out and into your system. I could be wrong though.

| You don't absolutely need to make the butter... you should feel the effects regardless. BUT you can use the butter is so many different situations I fully recommend taking the time - it's well worth it. |
