i forgot to post this....i made these for my vacation in mexico. i halfed the recipe and put in a quarter...and then split the 12 cookies with 3 friends that put in on the weed and helped make the cookies. my buddy and i ate two each before we got on the plane (i know, it was risky, dont give me any lectures), and after about 20 minutes, we were higher than the plane. damn, those were good cookies. then we ate the second two when we were chillin on the beach, and had the biggest laughing session i've ever had.

(I know, it's an old thread - but I was hoping it was still open so I could post this...)

I have, for a long time, been putting off eating bud, staying with the traditional (at least with my roots) smoking method. Don’t know if it was effort or skepticism, or not finding a forum such as this to inspire confidence. But the day I had yesterday may have reformed my ways permanently. Got some solid bud over the weekend, and used the shake (about ¼) to make half the above recipe. I might have over done the cookies a bit, but they turned out all right (a couple of tubes and SNL made it hard to watch the timer). And put them in the fridge over-night.

Anyway, had two cookies each (I had another 45 minutes later) and ascended into the mountains for a glorious day. Very soft, very gentle, but amazingly all-consuming for a solid 4-6 hours. No question, one of the best marijuana experiences in a while (comparable to a light [I'll take this out since it doesn't seem to be good form around here] journey).

Pan, thanks for the recipe – I look forward to experimenting further. Also, to anyone nervous about trying an eating method after being a pure smoker: relax. Reading too much about it makes you nervous and hesitant (wasting bud seems to be a large concern) and uneasy. Just rock out with some awesome treats! Solid.

I am mailing this recipie to a friend in another state, who has the magic ingredient that I currently don't, and wanted to make certain that it is right. I do a lot of baking (no pun intended) and wondered about the absence of eggs in this recipie--no eggs? Is that correct? Also--any sugestions/comments/warnings on putting cookies in the mail?

I've modified this recipe some since it was first passed on to me, but it didn't call for eggs and I never added any. There are so many moist ingredients that they really aren't necessary.
