| Hello Panama, I have a question for you.Last year my friend and I after having some really good brownies at a PHISH show, decided to make our own. We started with almost a 1/4 lb of some pretty good leaf, cooked over low temp with some vegetable oil for about 20 minutes, strained it and added the oil to the brownies. When the brownies were done we each ate 4 or 5 wanting to get real messed up.Instead we felt NOTHING!!!!!!! I know the leaf was about as good as leaf gets, because i had gotten alot so had been smoking some.Im pretty sure we used enough(made a double batch of brownies, using 2 cups of oil),and we followed a recipe i got from a friend to a t. Why didnt it work?Any idea? The only thing i can think of is that maybe we baked them at too high a temp, burning off the THC. Is this possable? What is the temp at which THC dissapates? I wanna do it again, hopefully with better results, but i would like to know what went wrong first,so we dont waste more weed.Evebn if it was leaf, that leaf could a came in so handy at a couple of dry periods. thanx alot 5-MEO-DMT | |

| Here's a link to a post of mine, which provides a proven method for extracting the THC into oil. <ahref="http://cheaptalk.marijuana.com/420/sowthread.php?"postid=3258#post3258"> I used vegetable oil, and it worked fine. The secret is to simmer it for a long time, at the right temperature. I think that a double boiler by itself does not get the oil hot enough. I found that by simmering the oil in the pan directly on the burner after I used the double boiler, the effects were stronger. When a TINY bit of smoke or vapor starts to come out of the pan when you open the lid, that is when I take it off the burner. You want to get it hot enough for a long enough time, but you don't want it so hot that it burns. My experience and that of my friends shows that it is best to get the oil almost to the point where you are worried it is starting to burn. | |

| I'll have to give this a try in the near future. I love ganja brownies, I was at a festival in West Virginia this weekend and I had 2 of these real phatty brownies, didn't even taste like herb at all, they were great. Neither one got me really really high, but it was a nice little enhancer for all the smoking we did.

| Sounds good, Panama. I've made brownies before, but I've never used that much bud. Last time I made them I used store bought brownie mix, and about 1/4 oz of real good bud. One got me really high, but I ended up eating 5. Nothing better than getting REAL stoned, sitting on a couch with Doritos, and laughin at absolutely everything. I'll sure have to try your recipe. Thanks - later

| Panima... do you pull these recipes from out your ass or have you actually made them? If there's a site, is there a problem posting it?
