| Hello all! Im planning on cooking something soon and I was wondering what sort of high I should be expecting. Ive read through this forum and what I most commonly hear is: Larger body "high", heaviness feeling, gradual rise to maximum high. Can someone give me a more in depth description (not just a sentence or two) of what im too expect and how it is going to differ from just smoking marijuana. thanks Greenlink ![]() |

| Hmmm, well, it's hard to describe. I would say that it's noticeably different, but not extraordinaly so. It's still a marijuana high. The biggest difference you should be prepared for is that it takes longer to hit you, usually about an hour. So if 30 minutes go by and you're still not high, don't just eat another dozen brownies without thinking =P. When you smoke, the high hits you almost easily and so it's very easy to control your dosage. It's harder to do with cooking because of the delay, so be aware of how much you put into the food and how much of the food you ingest. This way you can be sure you don't get higher than you want to be, and you'll have an idea of how much more/less to use the next time. Of course, if you want to get as high as humanly possible, at least be secure in the knowledge that it's impossible to OD on marijuana, so it's not like you're going to die from eating too much if you eat more before the high hits you. But you could make yourself sick, or get so high that you pass out.

| Figure a good cooking dose is three times your smoking dose. Estimate how many serving units will be coming out of your recipe and add one cooking dose for each serving unit. For example, say you're making brownies. You're making a batch that you're going to share with three other people. That's four serving units. If you normally get high on a half-gram joint you'll want 1.5 grams per serving unit or six grams. Make it a quarter for good measure!
