| Bhang is another name for cannabis indica from the Indian continent. Cannabis land or Bhangal is even known for especially large felines who are camouflaged by the shadows of the light thruogh the cannabis leaves... you might know them by this name: Bengal tigers. bangi, banghi, bhangi made with rose water, honey, cardamon, safron, coconut milk, and other spices and flavourings are wonderful but strong drinks. Nectars of Shiva ...use caution... Set & Setting...this is something to plan for holiday or a nice long vacation weekend with the one(s) you love in a safe place with no phone or outside media (newspapers, tvs, cell phones, pagers). It's where recreational and sacremental usage begins to blur lines and is more of a spiritual experience than toking up with your buddies. Mama Budz * I Toke & I Vote * | |

| I have not yet made the recipe for bhangi as I haven't had the opportunity yet to have that much raw fresh plant material. I completely understand your concern. Bhangi however is not a sacrement as we define it in western religion. The purpose of the experience is not synonymous. When we in the western world think sacrement we tend to apply our own experience of the sacrement of taking communion as an example, but this is not what is meant by sacremental in this context. The drinking of bhangi is more akin to what was referred to as *mind -expansion* in the 60's. The term sacremental refers to the inate sacredness of the plant itself to contain the "essence" capable of allowing man's mind to reach further than its normal daily level. So is smoking bhang for that matter ![]() But it is a special experience outside of normal time and space. If you have ever taken a walk outside on X-mas morning...or even early on a Sunday morning...that feeling of being "out of time and place"...just a little to the side of normal, allows your perception of the world to change, and your viewpoint to follow. The sacredness also has to do with the mind set. You must prepare yourself for a journey into yourself and out of yourself so you MUST be in control of who is around you and where you are. A calm quiet place, serene and undisturbed is beneficial. A calm and quiet mind with a quiet and optimistic spirit is what is envisioned as the proper mind "set". Allowing yourself the luxury of being completely vulnerable with your self and your Higher Power is the purpose of the event of making and drinking Bhangi. I hope that explains things a bit better than my previous post. BH4C don't you ever stop questioning me ... I enjoy reading you always...wanna cookie ?Hugz Mama Budz * I Toke & I Vote * | |

| Hahaha, that's funny, I do ask a lot of questions don't I? I'm a little faded right now, so if I sound different from usual now you know why. Your right, in the western world, especially in abrahamic religions, there are sacraments which seem to try and be special by making it set apart from others who are outside the faith. I follow a kind of Christianity, where we as the church, don't believe in partaking of any religious ritual or ceremony, besides a symbolic communion every now and then. "You must prepare yourself for a journey into yourself and out of yourself so you MUST be in control of who is around you and where you are" That is my goal almost everytime I toke up! And I seem to get higher when my spirit is happier and generally more optimistic. I try and get revelation of new things and acquire new twists on philosophies concerning the spirit realm and natural realm, much like Eastern philosophers. Today I believe God told me that tolerance is a problem rooted spiritually not physically. It was strange, I got philosophical buds right now. Hahahaha. Anyways I agree with pretty much everything in that ceremony, that's pretty cool, it seems like I have been practicing it all along without ever knowing about it. Peace out BH4C | |

| I'd love to see some discussion on weed beverages. I've tried many, some have worked wonders, others were just nice tasting drinks. I'll let someone start it with a good recipe suggestion, and I'll go back and dig through my experiments and post any I think are worth trying... | |
