| I've only recently begun experimenting with alternative methods of using cannabis after smoking it for my entire adult life. This is about my fourth serious attempt after three semi-successful tries (the previous being hot chocolate, brownies and apple-cinnamon muffins). Here's what I did: I took a tablespoonful of olive oil and a tablespoon full of chopped mids and simmered it covered for about an hour on an oil warmer (the kind where you have a glass suspended above a candle). I wasn't able to use it right away, so I covered it and saved it in the refrigerator for a couple of days. I left the plant matter in the oil, and mixed it with: 1 cup of restaurant chili Half a cup of cooked brown rice Half a cup of water 1/4 tsp of dried minced garlic 1/4 tsp of chili powder A dash of cayenne 1 tbsp raw chopped onions I then heated this up until it was hot all the way through and simmered it for a few minutes, then ate it. It was delicious. I liked the flavour given to it by the olive oil and the bud. Now, about an hour and a half (I think? duhh!! ) later I'm most pleasantly and thoroughly STONED.It feels totally different from being stoned from smoking. My body feels more relaxed and my head less fuzzy. It's very mellow and nice. One little problem, though, is that usually when I smoke I can still function pretty much as normal. I can't say I see myself being able to do that in this condition! Wheeee! This is fun! Is this what being stoned felt like when I was 13? |
