You will need 1 five gallon container. A 5 gallon plastic bucket will
work fine. You will need 1 five gallon glass distilled water jug or 5 one gallon glass jugs. You will need an air lock for each jug,one hydrometer,5 feet of 3/8" or 5/16" plastic hose. Also needed is 30 non-returnable 16 ounce soft drink bottles with screw on lids.The plastic hose can be purchased at a hobby store or elsewhere. Buy the hydrometer at a wine store or order a catalog from:

They carry equipment needed for people to make their own beer and wines. They will also have some of the other equipment needed to make the beer.

There are 3 steps to make homemade beer. Ferment the beer in a 5 gallon container for about 3 to 5 days,or until the hydrometer reads 1.040 . Next, siphon the beer from the 5 gallon container into the 5 gallon glass jug or the 5 one gallon jugs. After siphoning the beer into the jug(s),put the air lock(s) on the jug(s) and let the beer ferment for about 4 weeks. Next,after the fermentation has stopped and the beer has cleared,siphon the beer back into the 5 gallon container and add sugar. Stir well! Then,siphon the beer into the 16 ounce bottles and screw on the lids. In two weeks,the beer is ready to drink.

1 can of Malt
3 1/2 gallons of water
Sugar,see chart for amount
1 package of yeast
1 package of Hops or 1 or 2 ounces of Marijuana

You can buy Malt from some grocery stores and also from wine stores. It is also available from E. C. Kraus's catalog. Boil one gallon of water and stir in the malt. When the maly has dissolved in the water add the rest of the water. Put the mixture in a 5 gallon container and put the hydrometer into the liquid. Next you will add the sugar,the more sugar you add the more alcohol
content you will have. See the alcohol table to determine how much sugar to add. Most beer is 3% alcohol,to get 3% add sugar until the hydrometer reads 1.025 on the specific gravity scale. To get 11.9% alcohol add sugar until the hydrometer reads 1.085 on the specific gravity scale. NOTE: never go over 1.090 on the scale because too much sugar will kill the yeast. To get alcohol
up to 18% you will have to add the sugar in two batches. 1st batch add sugar until scale reads 1.085,ferment until scale reads 1.040,add 2nd batch of sugar,ferment until scale reads 1.040 then siphon beer into 5 gallon jug and attach the air lock.

NOTE: No matter how much sugar you add to the mixture always let it ferment in the 5 gallon container until the hydrometer reads 1.040 on the specific gravity scale,then siphon the mixture into the jug(s) and attach the air lock(s).

Add the package of hops to the mixture. The hops is not needed it just adds flavor. Some malt has hops added and in that case the hops is not needed at all. Some beers do not have hops and you may want to leave it out of the beer. NOTE: Hops and Marijuana are in the same plant family and will produce the
same flavor in the beer. You can use marijuana instead of hops.

Add 1 ounce of marijuana to the beer. If you want the beer extra strong,add 2 ounces of marijuana. When the beer is finished fermenting remove the marijuana,wash it with water,let it dry,then smoke it! It is still good but not as good as it was before because the THC has dissolved into the alcohol.
The more alcohol the beer has the more THC it will have also.

NOTE: If the beer has more than 12% alcohol the beer can not be carbonated naturally. Dry ice or a carbonator will have to be used to carbonate the beer. To get alcohol more than 12% you must use Sherry Yeast.
Add the yeast to the beer,wait 10 minutes and stir in the yeast.

Now that all the ingredients have been added put the hydrometer into the liquid and just wait. Keep the beer at room temperature about 70 degrees. Lower temperatures will make the beer ferment very slow. Higher temperatures will make the beer ferment very fast. If the beer ferments too fast it will have no flavor.

After the yeast has been added, fermentation will not start for about 4 days. If fermentation does not start after 1 week check to see if there is too much sugar in the mixture. The hydrometer should read 1.085 . If it reads more higher than 1.085 add extra water until the reading comes down to 1.085 or less.

After fermentation has started watch the hydrometer. When it reads 1.040 siphon the beer into the jug(s) and attach the air lock(s). Fermentation will slow down after 1 week and will stop after 2 weeks. Let the beer sit in the jug for another two weeks. All the yeast and heavy materials will sink to the bottom of the jug and the beer will become clear. If the beer is not clear wait another week or 2 until it is clear.

Use the plastic hose to siphon the beer out of the jug and into the 5 gallon container leaving the sediment in the bottom of the jug. Remove the marijuana at this time. Stir in 3/4 of a cup of sugar into the beer,this will make it carbonate naturally. If you have strong 16 ounce bottles and strong lids you can add up to 1 1/4 cups of sugar. Stir well and siphon the beer into the bottles. Fill the bottles right up to the top,about 1/8 inch or closer to the
top. Screw on the lids and wait 2 weeks. The longer you wait the better the beer will taste. Carbonation will be finished after 2 weeks,best flavor is after 8 weeks.

To make WINE use FRUIT instead of the malt. You can make wine from almost anything. Follow the same directions os before. Wine usually takes longer than 8 weeks after bottling to drink,about 3 months or more.
NOTE: The higher the carbonation the faster the alcohol will get into your blood and to make you drunk. Pabst Blue Ribbon used hte high carbonation technique in their beer. High carbonation is a good way to get drunk fast. With the combination of all 3,high alcohol 12%,high carbonation and THC from the marijuana that is dissolved in the alcohol you will have a beer that will
give you an experience that I am sure you will like.

If you can drink a 16 ounce bottle of this beer by yourself,your brain will be in outer space in just a few minutes. 1/2 bottle of beer is enough for most people but an experienced drinker might be able to down a whole bottle.

Cool Weed Beer

Me and my roommate made some last semester. Didn't turn out nearly as we had hoped but I think it was our fault. Last semester we made a batch of Irish Stout that we made from a kit we got at Great Fermentations in Indianapolis. To be more specific, it's in Broad Ripple and right across the street from it is the best head shop in Indy, "The Magic Bus."

Well, anyways, we fermented the beer and then, at bottling time, we put about 3 bowls apiece into 2 bottles. They were Jamaican Red Stripe bottles, of course. Well, we didn't really get to drink as much of those beers as we would have liked, and here is the reason.

When you are bottling and it says to only fill it about an inch from the top, don't think they're lying! We had filled the bottles up a little too full, and the fact that the Red Stripe bottles have really narrow necks made it that much worse. When we opened them, it was like a volcano. Half of the beer turned to fizz and little chunks of bud were flying out. I'm glad we opened them in the bathroom! So, half of the beer was wasted in foam and we got to drink some and it didn't get me that buzzed or anything. I definitely think adding it during the brewing stage is the best idea and when I do it again, that's when I will add it.

BTW, the Irish Stout was awesome and we have a batch of American Cream Ale bottled up and ready to go. Should be ready on April 7th.

Although I have to admit drinking beer made w/ MJ would be just plain cool, I made some Green Dragon a few months ago, and the high/drunk just wasn't cool IMO. For me, it was like mixing a clean and pure mental state with the dirtiest physical state. It was a crazy contradiction that I'll never want again!
