I am wanting to make weed brownies for the first time this weekend, but im not sure how much to use. I see lots of recipes that call for an oz, but i really do not want to spend that much. I am going to buy a 1/4 this friday. I intend on using a brownie commerical box. Will the 1/4 be enough for my baking?

It all depends on the quality of the weed. Figure out how much it takes to get high smoking it, multiply by three, and that's the amount you need per serving in your recipe.

Well alaskan weed is pretty potent, I usually smoke 1 bowl to get high. My brownie box tells me that it will create 16 servings... so 1 multiplied by 3 is 3 and then that multiplied by 16 is 48. Now, usually in my cases, i get anywhere from 8-14 bowls in my 1/8oz. That means that on a good day, i would need a 1/2oz. On other websites, i found a recipe that said for a commercial brownie box, they used an 1/8 and it worked, but it sounds really sketch. Is there anyway to create brownies with only 1/4 of weed. Would I need to reduce the ingredients in ratio, or realisticly can i not make brownies with that amount?

I think 1/4oz in a box of brownie mix would be more than adequate.

Remember that the serving sizes suggested on the packaging are for friggin tiny birds. I don't know anyone that follows those serving sizes! (Maybe this is why I need to lose 50 pounds, huh? )

I made sausage & peppers sauteed in butter with about 2g of weed, and I got a rather nice buzz. Not too intense of a high and long-lasting...
The danger of cooking with weed is using too much, and making your edibles too strong...

No problem. Just eat 1/8 of the resulting batch instead of 1/16 of it. You'd probably want to do that anyway.
