dude said a 1/4 oz of weed to a fifth of vodka would be the ideal ratio. i'm planning on making this using stems, i have just over a half ounce of stems saved up. has anyone used stems before, and if so what ratio did you use? i want to make it strong enough so that the amount it takes to get high won't get you real smashed (a slight alcohol buzz wouldn't be bad though)

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has tried this with whiskey yet. I got some 45% Even Williams in the cabinet and a few grams o' middies(all you can get around here). I am going to try for a gram an oz of juice but I don't have a scale on me. If anyone has tried it yet I'd love to hear there results. You can expect me posting in 4 weeks or so.

I've never used anything but grain alcohol, but I have heard of people using vodka, and rum. I believe the extraction process is better with a stronger alcohol content myself.

how long would this mixture have to sit? Could I have it ready in like 3-4 days if I use stronger alcohol?

I used a half OZ of stems to about 1/5 of a 1/5 of tequila. I let it steep for about 3 months in the summer sun. It turned out to make about 5 shots of knock-your-socks-off liquor. It was greenish brown and smelled like crazy pot. One shot got me super high and a little drunk buzzed.

Edit: If you use 151 it works a lot better. In essence: the higher the alcohol content the more THC absorption occurs. To make this without naturally steeping it, you have to make a hot water bath to bring the alcohol to a temp that will absorb the THC faster without boiling or burning it. I'm not exactly an expert on that method but I know my natural steeping method worked kick-ass!

Let it sit a minimum of 30 days, using grain alcohol. That gets best results. I always use the cold method.

damn, I was watching a video on youtube... it says only 2-3 days with 151 so is this video not true or have you just always done a month to be on the safe side?

I got my recipe here, in the recipe section, a few years ago. I've been using the same recipe all these years because I have achieved fabulous results. If it isn't broken, don't fix it, I say.

As for the video, well. only 2-3 days wont extract all the THC you could have got out of it if you had let it sit longer.
