| a 20$ bag can be anywhere from 2grams to 6 grams, depends what you are buying. To me, and probaly the average smoker, think of a 20 as about 5 grams. Usually you get 5 grams of shwagg for 20 bucks.

| I am sooo confused about these grams and crap. Lets put it this way. I usually get a nick for $5, which should make 2 nice joints or a nice blunt, according to my friends which know about the grams and things. Does that sound right? That's buying regs. I can't wait to make cookies or the cake that Panama suggested. But I just need the measurements to get it right. Sorry for getting this thread off subject a bit.

| This is getting way off topic, but i feel it needs to be posted. The price of weed varies greatly throughout the country. and people use diff. terms too. However, a nick, and dime, aren't so much terms that describe the amount of weed, instead, how much it costs. a Nick is always $5 dollars, and a dime is alwasy $10, hence the names. Same w/a ten-spot ($10) and a 20 bag (20 dollars). however, the amount of weed varies a lot. here, on Long Island New York, at least in my area, its 10 dollars a gram for regs, 20 for hydro or good KB. | |

| Now, back to the topic.

| My friends have a tendancy of running through a lot of weed in a short period of time, and we collect a LOT of little stems, often covered in resin. After reading a lot of different forums and posts ive decided to try to make some cannabutter with them, any ideas or tips that may help?? has anyone tried this before?? I plan on using about one and a half to twice as much stem mass as i would if it was just buds. | |

| Because stems contain very little THC it will take an enormous amount of stems before your cannabudder will be potent enough to get anyone high. That being said what you're going to have to do is start with 1lb (one stick) of whole butter and melt it on very low heat. When it's liquified add as many stems as you can and stir constantly. When the stems get soggy they'll have absorbed some of the butter, at this point you can spoon out the stems (save in a dish because you'll have to get that butter out) and add more to the butter or just toss in more stems with the soggy stems still in the butter. When you've got a nice dark green color to your butter it may or may not be ready (depends on how potent the weed was that the stems came from). To get any butter out of the stems you spoon out just put them in a strainer and squeeze them against the side with the bottom of a spoon while holding over the pan with the cannabudder. |

| A friend of mine suggested that I use some kif (fresh, unpressed hash) for budder. He says (and purports to have ample experience in the subject) that I should put the kif in a tea diffuser and set the diffuser in the budder, then proceed with the heating process. He claims this will cut down on the bud taste and will make the budder ultimately more potent. I am skeptical about the teeny tiny trichomes flowing out of the rather larger holes of the diffuser. Will this work as well as buds? Would it matter if I just dumped the kif straight in the budder? Are the holes on my diffuser too big? Is language a reflection of the world that it describes, or do the terms of language define our world? | |

| Simmer the bud in your butter for about 35-40 minutes. Make sure that it's not a "hard" boil - it needs to be a simmering boil for that time period (otherwise you could burn it and OOPS! waste that nice stuff you just bought). If you want info on more recipes and side effects, you can go to http://www.munchies-n-more.com. | |
