Ok, so I follow some of these generic tea recipes, butter, boiling water and the special ingredient, pot. No buzz whatsoever, and boy did that tea taste like poo! So whats up with that?

Bet you let the tea simmer uncovered.... THC just wafts away on the steam!

Try this... Boil the water in a pot with a TIGHT LID... when brought to a boil add the following and then COVER WITH LID IMMEDIATELY!

About a 1/2 teaspoon MJ
1 teabag of a Herb Tea (like Celestial Seasonings)

REMEBER TO COVER IMMEDIATELY!!!

BRING BACK TO BOIL then TURN OFF T%HE HEAT AND KEEP IT COVERED FOR at least 10 minutes!!!

Strain and serve with Sugar or Honey

Sip this slowly and you should find the effect satisfactory.

I use this method with patients who cannot get an adequate dosage of Marinol and have difficulty holding down food following chemo therapy but are unable to smoke marijuana for vcarious reasons.

what about doing the exact same thing - adding mj to boiling water with a tight lid - except in the latter stages of cooking pasta? would the THC bond to the pasta (you could add a bit of oil to the boiling water, as is customary in my family) and not be drained off when serving the pasta?

Ypu don't steam pasta...
But do a search for my MJ pesto sauce for a great sauce for your pasta ...

Its not a question of a lid or not, THC is NOT water soluable. You need something for it to bond to in the water like butter, or milk. I have made canna milk many times. You start the process by boiling pot leaves (not buds) in water with a lid on or off, you then take the green water that took out the chlorophyl, dump it away, take the leaves that are now less full of green, put them in milk, and heat but do not boil the milk for half an hour. The slightly green milk that results will knock you on your ass. The THC needs non water to bond to, that was your problem (thats why you can smoke a bong and the THC passes through the water). THC cannot go up in steam because it never bonds with the H20.
