I really like avocados. I can eat them like peeled apples. Avocados are high in EFA's and fatty acids, good fats etc. you could survive on mostly avocados they are so good for you.

I LOVE pineapples. Not from the can, Big hunks of pineapple just sliced are good. Nothing like a big chunk of pineapple on a hot day.

I also LOVE kiwis. Kiwis are really good but they are hard to get too - fruit in Alaska is kind of poor quality.

But my favorite fruit?

Pomegranate!!!

Each little morsel is bursting with juicy goodness!

I also love Sushi- not a fruit/veggie- but its healthy!
I don't really like avacado, my favourite "health" food has to be picking strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and cherries fresh from the vines. God fresh berries are amazing. Esp cherries. The dark, sweet meat surrounding a hard pit. Mmmmmm heaven is when these drops of goodness have no pits and grow like weeds.

My best cerceal is Alpin. Its basically like miniture bits of hard granola oats, and different stuff. Its amazing. But its REALLy tough stuff. Its really taste, esp on the trail waking up, and pouring some freshly made re-constituted milk. Its just so sublime when your in the wilderness. Something about it just makes me REALLY enjoy my morning, chewing and thinking about life.

sorry to break it to ya, but most of that stuff is very unhealthy. yogurt is okay if it doesnt have any sugar added to it. the other stuff you listed is terrible. just because a label implies something is healthy means nothing

Well, I love omelette's too, but what I do, is use a bit of Olive oil, which is really healthy too!

The eggs, they have fat, but good one! besides, they're full of nutrients and a lot of protein!!

The cheese, well, I don't eat lots of it...

Ok, thanks to this thread my appetite got big enough so I decided to go prepare something... and I decided to try some Mexican stuff:

"Huevos revueltos con salsa casera molcajeteada" or "Scrambled eggs with home made spicy sauce made using a "Molcajete""

For those of you who don't know what a Molcajete is, read on: Molcajete - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ingredients were:

1/3 of an onion
1/2 of a tomato
1 BIG jalapeņo
3 eggs
1 slice of "queso panela" or panela cheese

All the vegetables nicely diced up (notice the flag colors?? Viva Mexicoo!! )

Cooked until they look like this:

The molcajete my grandmother gave me (it's like 30 years old at least)

The salsa already made in the molcajete

The final result (with a pair of home made tortillas and a slice of Queso Panela)

Aaahhh, it was sooo delicious!!!

the fat in eggs is okay, but its the quantity of it that makes them unhealthy. one egg yolk and the rest egg whites is good, but i would never exceed more than 2 yolks at one sitting.
