Has anyone heard of green dragon? it is a tincture of cannabis in a high potency alcohol extract.

my friend and I put about an eighth of chronic into a small amount of 100 proof alcohol, and left it in an airtight jar, and shook it up once every day for about 2 weeks. we then proceeded to try just a tiny bit, got stoned as hell, and left the rest to ferment for longer.

it turns out we COMPLETELY forgot about it for almost a year! we rediscovered it earlier, and im wondering if it is still safe to drink. the weed is still 'fermenting' inside of the bottle, along with the alcohol, but it is easily strainable. i am just worried about some sort of mold, or the alcohol going bad. is this a possibility?

i really dont want to throw it out if i dont have to

I'm assuming it gets better with age, like wine.

I don't think alcohol goes bad, not sure about weed though. Recently they found the oldest (I think) unopened bottles of beer at the old site of the Bass brewery in Burton upon Trent. One was over 100 years old, I'm not sure exactly, but the bottles that they had a few of, they offered tastings (very exclusive tasings), and they were supposedly aged very well. Beer has to be 7-8% alcohol or more to age though.

I thought that Green Dragon had to be made with really high proof alcohol (like 190 or more). One of the only reasons I didn't want to make Green Dragon is because I don't really like getting drunk, but if it can be made with lower proof alcohol, I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

You'll be fine to drink it. alchohol doesn't go bad (hard alchohol at least), and it woud have preserved the weed also so it wouldn't rot/decompose.
you don't need high proof alchohol. I made green dragon with a 5th of popov (80 proof) and stems saved up from an ounce I had. worked great!

Hi there, im thinking of making some of this green dragon and was wondering if there was anything that i should bear in mind while doing so like ratio, too much or too little that sort of thing. Can i use vodka or gin? Is the high the same as smoking it? I smoke it to sleep but it seems to be screwing up my throat after 20yrs of toking. Need to find alternative ways to get the THC in me

Any advise is greatly appreciated thank you.
