Default Tea anyone?

My new favorite drink is Twinnings of London Earl Grey tea. I absolutely LOVE this stuff!!

I became very ill the beginning of this month, and had to be hospitalized. I have been having stomach problems for a while, and they did an Endoscopy on my stomach, finding ulcers, and a bacteria that they sent off for biopsy. After I came off the liquid diet (at home), I switched to the bland diet. Can't have fast food, any fried food, citrus, tomato products of any kind, spicy food (excess spices)....NO COFFEE!!! No caffeine soda, etc. I asked my Gastroenterologist if I could have tea, and he said I can, as long as my stomach can handle it. That rule also applying to dairy products as well.

I have to have some caffeine during the day, or I can't function at all. I have tried different blends/brands of Earl Grey tea, but I have not found one as good as Twinnings of London Earl Grey. I imagine people from the UK and Canada already know how good this tea is.

I have had Twinnings Earl Gray, and it is very good.
I'm not a huge Earl Gray fan, but I enjoy Twinnings now and then.
I'm more of a peppermint and chamomile tea kind of gal

Glad to hear you are out of the hospital and back home.

I am not much of a tea fan- in fact, I've only had one tea that I liked, and it was a peppermint tea. I have no idea the brand- it was while we were vacationing in England and were at High Tea. It was good though. Other teas though just don't do it for me. I just like plain old water...

I love tea!
My favorite is a South African tea called 5 roses. Mmmmmmm delish.

And now they have come out with an Earl Grey....

One of my other favorites is The Republic of Tea's Zen Dream Tea; Passion Fruit Papaya....mmmmmm

But uh, i'll take some Earl Grey tea anytime....

I was wondering if anyone might mention Captain Picard.

I was watching TNG on Spike the other day and thought, "Now I know why Captain Picard had to have his cup of Earl Grey."

It really is great stuff! I am pretty sure Bigelow Earl Grey is readily available at most grocery stores. Twinnings of London's Earl Grey doesn't seem to be available everywhere. Bigelow isn't bad. I'll drink that, if I'm out of Twinnings, but I haven't run out yet, and I have to boxes of 50 bags right now.

My mum`s a big Earl Grey person. She mixes it with a tiny bit of regular (Red label?) tea. Unfortunately, in the UK we drink stewed tea diluted in shit-loads of milk, which is not how it`s meant to be done. Believe it or not, the best cup of tea I ever had was prepared by a lady from Colorado when I was living in Almere in the Netherlands - that was the first time I had tea sans milk and stewing, if memory serves.

The British honestly don`t know how to drink tea. I remain a coffee person for that reason - dairy products belong in places other than the mug.
