Ok so heres my situation.

I made 1lb of cannabutter using about 16 grams of mid-grade shake.
I made two batches of brownies using newly made cannabutter, both called for 1/2 cup of butter.
Brownies baked in oven untill they were done.
The brownies have been in my fridge over night and about an hour ago I took 2 brownies, approx. 2-3 in. squares

i feel nothing.
i havent eaten all day.
havent smoked. (its tough)

i have been staring at this page for quite sometime now.
maybe its working.
but im still not sure.
please give me insight

It takes a while for edibles to kick in. Just wait longer, im sure you will fill it.

If you made the cannabutter right I'd say about 45 minutes after that post it hit you like a ton of bricks. My personal experience with edibles is me sitting there going "it's not working... it's not working... damn I must have made them wrong... I am fuckin stooooonnnned".

Fortunately, it's the let down you get from thinking you did something wrong that makes the high that much better imho.

edit: if ever in doubt, go with the math.

you want to ensure that each serving contains the equivalent of 3 x the amount of bud it takes you to get high (give or take a bit depending on the intensity of the high you want).

When I make edibles (using KB) I like about 1.5 g worth per serving, if that's all I have (meaning I only have enough bud to make one serving) I'll make just enough cannabutter to put on a couple pieces of toast.

When making something with multiple servings, like brownies, I do a little math before hand so I know exactly how much I need to eat to get where I want to be. In you case...

1 pound = 4 sticks of butter using 16 grams = 4 grams per stick

1/2 cup (or 1 stick) of butter for each batch of brownies means each batch has 4 grams.

If each batch makes 4 brownie pieces you have 1 gram per piece, if it makes 6 pieces you have 2/3 gram per piece etc...

I'm assuming you cut each batch into 8 pieces meaning you had 1 gram worth of mid grade ingested (correct me if I'm wrong here). If that worked for you then great, if it didn't then you now know how to adjust the dosage to your liking.

yeah they did, I think I probably should have had 3 pieces rather than 2 but it was still great.

It's not as hard as it sounds. All i did was simmer butter and marijuana together untill it was green then filtered out all the leaves. All thats left after that is use the butter. It seems that the best thing to do to ensure a good time is to use at least an ounce per pound of butter. but you definately should try it. its a fun adventure that only takes about 2 hours (seeing as I had been smoking before and during my cooking escapade it took about 6 hours)
