Default Soy Free Food

well up until recently i wasnt aware that i was allergic to soy. i did an allergy test and it came out to be that i had solid reactions to peanuts almonds soy and a few other things i dont need to mention.

anyway it turns out, companies started making their products with soy, soybean oil/ lechtin many years ago to foods for a few reasons. basically anything processed contains soy. basically all the dishes at restaurants have soy SOMEwhere in the process of cooking it

i mean like this stuff is in virtually everything i eat! so its hard to really get a grip on the foods i CAN eat for this 2 week trial im going to do (trial should tell me and my doctor if its really as simple as that) i read over a thread on a soy free foods topic. and found sum stuff..but its obviously not enuff. Im thinking about going to wild oats this week (all natrual grocery store)

anyway heres some of the stuff i know doesnt contain soy as of now. i would realllyy appreciate input from everyone who can share some info

cheerios
jello
kraft mac n cheese
pepridge farm bagels
spectrum mayo
freetos, sun chips
rices
pastas
fruits veggies
boboli pizza crust
south beach diet italian dressing

so you can see what kind of a dilema a weed smoker could be in!

I took an allergy test that said i was allergic to any wheat product, all dairy products, and all poultry products. I still eat all of those every day, and i havent died yet. I talked to a neighbor of mine who is a nurse and she said allergy test give false allergic reactions all the time. Try not eating soy for a while and if for some reason you feel mercilously better then i would contine, but if you feel the same, just go back to eating it. I am not doctor by any means and im sure nearly everyone on this site is going to disagree with me, but from my own experiences, allergy test arnt very accurate.

I'm going to disagree with Steakii here, that's some of the worst advice I've ever heard given. Basically, he's saying "Fuck your doctor, do what you think is best."

Well, I'm telling you this... If you think your doctor is wrong, get a second opinion, don't go off and ignore him/her.

Allergy tests can give false positives for a variety of things, but that doesn't mean that you should ignore them. It means you should either have more tests done, or watch what you eat.

Personally, I looove soy products, so I can't help you in finding stuff that doesn't have soy. I love me some tofu!

ahhhh do some google searches ma friend, soy is one of the worst things for you that is procieved healthy.http://w w w.healingcrow.com/soy/soy.html, http://w w w.aquarianonline.com/Wellness/soy.html
http:// wintersdayin.blogspot.com/2007/01/soy-milk-is-unhealthy.html, just put the w's together, and the // to winters. Thats why it's in everything, because its cheap, and it's "healthy". Truth is, it's an estrogen. Feeding babies soy milk is like giving them 6 birth controll pills or somthing like that. Check it out, it's some messed up shit.

Try salads, I know it sounds horrible, but it's really not.

Black and Blue(cheese) salads are fantastic, really they are.

Also, try to avoid anything with hydrogenated oils.
