Weed quality conversions?

So I was wondering....

My buddy usually makes his bud butter with about an ounce of schwag, but say you were to use some headies, like some Maui, would you still need an ounce, or could you perhaps use much less, like maybe an 8th?

Yup - absolutely. I`d use about a quarter of the amount you`d use for low-grade weed.

What you're concerned about is the amount of THC, not the amount of weed. Schwag could be only 3% THC. The finest KB could be as much as 29% THC. You'd need almost ten grams of schwag to equal the THC in one gram of the KB.

Haha, if only I had the money.

So, should an eigth of some dank work about the same as an ounce of shwag then? Or do you think i'd need a quad?

It all depends on how much butter you are making, how potent it is, and how high you want to get. If it is insane headies i would say an eight would probably work but if it is decent dank you probably need more.

Thanks for your help.

Instead of making a pound of cannabutter, i think i'll do 3/4's of a pound, and perhaps just a bit more then an 8th of some headies, hopefully it'll work out fine.

That's the best thing to do - test it out.

If it ends up too strong or too weak, you'll know for next time...
