| **I'm making this today. ![]() Chocolate Fudge 12 ounces 70 percent dark chocolate, chopped or 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped 1 (14-ounce) can condensed milk Pinch salt Melt the chopped chocolate, condensed milk and salt in a heavy based pan on a low heat. Pour this mixture into a 9-inch square foil tray, smoothing the top. Let the fudge cool and then refrigerate until set. You can then cut into small pieces approximately 3/4 by 1 3/4 inches or cutting 8 by 8 lines in the tin to give 64 pieces. Once cut you can keep it in the freezer, no need to thaw just eat straight away.

| I found this recipe for Coconut Cookies and thought I would go ahead and share it. It seems simple to make. I am surely going to try it for Christmas. This recipe makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 1/2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut 2 large eggs 3/4 cup sugar 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. 2 Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and add shredded coconut, mixing well with rubber spatula. 3. In a large bowl, beat eggs with an electric mixer on medium speed, just to blend. Beat sugar, then increase the speed to medium-high and beat until light and fluffy. Stir coconut until thoroughly mixed. 4. Drop rounded teaspoons of the batter onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes, until the tips of the cookies are pale gold. Slide the parchment papers, with the cookies on them, onto wire cooling racks and let the cookies cool completely.

| I also found some recipe's for your pets. I thought that was pretty cool. With all of the recalls lately I thought this would be a good idea. Kid-Friendly Canine Cookies 3 (2.5 ounce) jars of baby food (vegetable or meat varieties) 1/2 cup plain Cream of Wheat In a mixing bowl thoroughly combine ingredients. Using a teaspoon, drop mixture onto a dinner size plate covered with wax paper. Cover with paper towels or paper plate. Microwave on high setting for 4-5 minutes. Remove and cool completely before serving. Refrigerate remaining cookies in a air-tight container. Here is one for the kitties Cat Treats 7 ounces sardines, (drained if canned) mashed 1/2 cup plain wheat germ 1/4 cup dry non-fat milk non-stick cooking spray Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine all ingredients. Form mixture into small, 1/2 inch sized balls. (Should make approx. 2 dozen) Place balls evenly on greased cookie sheet. Gently flatten each ball with a fork. Bake 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and cool completely before serving. Store the remaining cookies in an air-tight container. I know this thread is for human recipes but I thought maybe some would enjoy making these for their furbabies. |
