I plan on making a brownie mix with a quarter and an eighth to a half ounce for 4 people. We will eat all that we make at once. Will this be enough to get all of us stoned? Should i reduce the batch size? any suggestions appreciated.

Question

You know I was just going to post about brownies? I'd also like some help with brownies. First of all I'd like to know how much bud to mix with 1/2 cup of butter. Second, will the THC deactivate as the brownies drop in temperature, being that heat activates it? Will cheese cloth filter out any THC. Without cheese cloth, will the brownies taste bad? I'm can't wait to make these so Pan, if you please... Thanks

Smile Where to start...

Elixir420, you'll have plenty of weed in your brownies if you use that much. As a matter of fact you may want to add extra sugar to help mask the weed taste.

DaisyCrazy, 1/4 oz of clean weed per 1lb of butter - 1 pound (1 stick) is approximately 1/2 cup.

And, no, the THC will not deactivate as the brownies cool. It's the heating that activates the THC and allows it to be absorbed by the natural fats.

Now, I can't say that cheesecloth won't trap some THC, but it'll be so minute that it won't be noticable. It's not absolutely necessary to strain with cheese cloth, there are other methods, but it will get more of the vegetable matter out. It's really a matter of personal taste, sometimes I leave the roughage in and other times I strain with a metal strainer or cheesecloth.

I don't suppose butter has a maximum THC capacity... Does it?

Alright, so yesterday I had some friends over and we sampled the brownies that I baked two days ago. So I guess I put about a half Oz. of this commercial crap into a regular philsbury brownie mix. Withought a coffee grinder I resorted to chopping/cutting the weed up with some scissors. Took forever but I was stoned and watching TV. I ended up snipping a nice chunk off my thumb... Scissors not recommended.

I stuck the cut up 1/2 Oz. into a pan of 1 stick (1/2 cup) of butter. I stuck that in the oven on 200 degrees F for 30 minutes. I proceded with the recipe called for on the package, and substituted the 1/2 cup oil with the butter. 45 mins later and the brownies look spectacular.

Well for some reason these worked a lot better for my friends but I had to smoke more bowls. These are some real expensive brownies but I can afford it. I recommend buying a lot of shwag mercial and useing that... I'll keep you updated

Talking Best I've accomplished...

Well, I got a tip for a brownie recipie from a friend and here is the link to it: http://cookierecipe.com/az/bestbrownies.asp

I don't bother with the frosting but follow the main part to the letter. The butter I simmer with about a 1/4 cup (less, not a big heaping one) of commercial brickweed. I usually clean a whole oz. at a time and make at least two batches at a time. I am trying to convert from smoking to a pure eating method.

The trick: Simmer the weed in the butter after grinding in a coffee grinder (this makes a huge difference, just smoking that dust is more powerful), I grind the sticks in but trash the seeds. When I simmer the butter and weed, I do it for as long as I think safe, about 2 hours and 45 minutes. The smell is powerful too!

The best part about this recipie is its cheap, easy and it always turns out. Even when I've high assed a timing sequence or mixing texture they always taste great and get you jacked. If you cut the pan into four pieces you get four people stoned silly for six hours straight, minimum. Your mileage may vary.
