Suspected Drunken Driver Rams San Diego House, Gaping Hole Reveals Alleged Pot Farm

SAN DIEGO, Mar. 23, 2009

(AP) Authorities said a 63-year-old man suspected of drunken driving crashed his pickup truck into a neighbor's house, leaving a gaping hole and revealing a small marijuana farm inside. San Diego police got a search warrant after the Sunday afternoon crash and confiscated more than 20 pot plants from the house.

Police Sgt. David Jennings said no one was inside the house, and neighbors told officers the residents were gone on a ski trip.

No one was injured in the crash.

it amazes me how people think an old man driving drunk and crashing into someones house is ok because he revealed someone growing pot plants. no one was injured but he could have killed someone! ugh.

Whwere did anyone say it was OK? He was likely charged and prosecuted like any other DUI offender WHO DIDN'T expose a grow-op. Nothing indicated that anyone thought his behavior was "OK" in the least.

If the guy had been high instead of drunk then he probably would not have hit the house and both the old guy and the people who owned the plants would still be living peaceful happy lives.
