| Just when we all thought it was starting to get better, Another Fire has come on our mountains again. Last summer, Goleta was named Californias #1 priority because of the Gap fire. I had to evacuate because of that shit and it cut 2 weeks out of my summer. Then in November the Tea fire came and burned over 210 houses. Now another huge fire has come to make us all miserable. here is some information on the fire so far: We are tracking a developing story this afternoon in Santa Barbara, where a brush fire is currently burning in the Santa Barbara foothills. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the fire is now being called the Jesusita Fire. It started at about 2:00 p.m. and has burned about four to five acres in the San Roque Canyon near the Tunnel Road area north of Santa Barbara. It is burning in a north-easterly direction upslope, but that could change with the evening sundowner winds. According to emergency radio, evacuations have been ordered for the Mission Canyon Road area north of the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens. David Sadecki with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department says that two helicopters are responding with an air attack. He said the fire is laying low and is not spreading fast. Santa Barbara City Fire and U.S. Forest Service fire crews are also on scene and have set up a joint command post at 1400 San Roque Road. There are no structures threatened at this time, but the fire is burning near power lines. Authorities are issuing an informational reverse 911 call for people west of Highway 154, north of Foothill Road and west of Mission Canyon Road. It is only to let people know there is a fire near them so they can start preparing. Marymount School in Santa Barbara on Mission Ridge Road is evacuating. The Santa Barbara Police Department says that Mission Canyon and Mission Ridge roads are both closed at Foothill Road. Caltrans has closed State Route 192 from the Highway 154 junction. It is closed primarily for eastbound traffic that would be headed toward Mission Canyon. The Red Cross is opening a shelter at the Presbyterian Church at the corner of 21 East Constance Street and State Street in Santa Barbara. Click here for the latest updates on this story on KSBY.com, and watch Action News tonight at 5, 6 and 11. I live away from the fire but if there is a evac call im gonna be pissed

| this shit is out of control, winds up to 60 miles an hour pushing this and destroying anything in its path. my moms friends husband is a fire chief. he says that now the fire fighters are backing out and running for their own lives. it looks like a bomb has hit us. im just glad my house isnt in the line of fire like it was during the gap fire. until these winds die, there is no hope |

| I feel for you bro. But disasters visit us all sooner or later. And least you forget in these turbulent moments, you get to live in Goleta, one of the most beautiful places in California, one I've been to many times and one that many people would give their right arm to live in. Just remember, it's all about renewal. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya...

| MOTHER FUCKER!!!! this fire started far away from my house, the winds have now pushed it so close we are in a mandatory evacuation. we have nowhere to go so we may just stick it out tonight and evac in the morning. or we could go to the red cross shelter at my high shcool but that would suck. this whole situation sucks and my town is in flames |

| Dude I'm sorry to hear that. Best wishes to you and all your neighbors. I live in a pretty high risk fire area and have had a few "Close Calls", but not that close. I hope everything works out... Good luck...
