|  Stimulus Funds for Pot Patch Lexington Kentucky - The AllTranz company has received a 2million dollar grant in federal stimulus funds to help it develop a marijuana patch for those trying to quit the drug, essentially like the patch for people who want to quit smoking cigarettes. Quoting a National Institute on Drug Abuse synopsis "test on animals and humans found withdrawal symtoms that appear as severe as those associated with tobacco smoking" that include difficulty sleeping, marijuana cravings and irritability. | If you're going to throw stimulus money towards marijuana-related things, how about giving some to NORML and MPP? Support something that's actually useful.

| While we're at it, let's make a patch for coffee drinkers because they need help quitting. Let's also make a patch to help people eat healthier. Jesus christ, people need to realize that these magical patches are not the solution.. If you really want to quit marijuana you're going to quit. What a fucking waste of taxpayer (stimulus) money...

Federal stimulus money to go towards groups that are trying to change federal laws? If the government were willing to support those groups those groups wouldn't need the money.  Although I can agree that the money certainly could have been better spent elsewhere.
