Everybody lies, its human nature. Politicians are just filmed saying stuff so its easier to catch their lies. The system will never be perfect, and all politicians will continue to lie, its pretty much a fact of life.

Yes, but all that means is Obama is typical....not the Great Savior of American Government he's often portrayed as by his supporters. I realize lying is common among politicans, and always has been. However, Obama's supporters attempt to portray him as some sort of "new and fresh" politican who is somehow exempt from the lies and corruption suffered by other politicans, when in fact, other then his skin color (and prehaps lack of exerpience), he is 100% a typical politican who says whats needed to be said to fool people into voting for him.

TM. What I am about to say, you and I can go back and forth for days.

I view Obama as being a very truthful politician. When you have camera's shoved into your face 20 hours a day for 2 years. One day, you might say something a little out of the way(Please don't tell me to post McCain's)

Given other politicians that have lied countless times about not doing drugs, and the times when he is honest about it... He gets bashed about it! Jesus, it's a lose, lose situation with you people.

I am just curious though.... He lies? Are you referring to Flip-Flopping? If you are, I'd much rather have a candidate who realizes, 'Hey, this might not be the best way on handling it... But at least we can rethink our views and move on'.

I'd much rather have that politician, than a stubborn politician and believes his way is the way, and any other way is the wrong way.

OBAMA 08!

His drug use? Absolutely no concern of mine...I don't thin k it makes him any more suitable or les suitable to lead our country. Its a complete nonissue for me. What I despise is someone who has voted for every gun control measure ever presented to him, yet comes to South Dakota, and lies to our people telling us he's a strong 2nd Amendment supporter. He claims to only support "common sense" gun control, which appearently means any and all gun control by his voting record. He's even went so far as to assure "target shooters and hunters" that their "rights" won't be infringed on. Well, thats just fine and dandy...if you are completely cluess as to the actual meaning of the Second Amendment. It has nothing to do with target shooting, hunting, or any shooting sports. Its about the capability to defend oneself, a right Obama obviously DOES NOT agree with, as he has indicted favor for making concealed carry by legal permit holders illegal nationwide. he refuses to hold young black males accountable for crimes committed as part of gang activity, even if they kill for the gang. Its fine for them to marude our streets, but he is against mandatory minimums or the death sentence, even when they kill for gang-related reasons.. he has indictred favor for all out bans on handgun ownership. None of these actions reflect someone who is 'pro second amendment".

I realize I concentrated on ONE lie here, but its one that offended me to my very core, and showed me just how blatant of lies he's capable of. There are more, but you asked why I was so worked up about his lies. He's let to tell the truth about his feelings on gin control vocally. However, his voting record speaks volumes, and says more than i ever could concerning his attitude towards guns.
