|  snopes.com: Barack Obama in Afghanistan proven to be false....as much as I dislike Obama, I dislike untruths even more. However, this took me all of 7 seconds to find. Why didn't anyone else even bother checking to see how valid this was before the thread got to page two?

| I'm slightly amused as how worked up some people get over a question lol. As stated in the original post yes it was an email. Most emails I don't read and frankly I don't even believe 1/4 of what I hear. I won't apologize for asking the question because I didn't have the information. I could've looked it up on Snopes to see if it was accurate but had I done that I wouldn't have gotten all the other good information some of you guys posted. To those of you who took the time to post that useful information I appreciate it =0).

| You beat me to it TM. The snopes.com article even has the admission by the captain who wrote the email that his info was wrong. What's so stupid about the whole thing is that even if Obama didn't support the troops, he certainly wouldn't do or say anything publicly to advertise his feelings. Even a politician who hates babies is still gonna kiss a few during an election campaign.

| its someone moron spreading propaganda. What really happened was that a General/Pentagon said he didn't want the troops on camera to make it look like a campaign fiasco. Which i'm with the Pentagon with on this one. |

| That's incredibly incorrect. There is a vast difference between opposing a war, and opposing our troops. The mans record for helping our Vets is far more impressive as that of McCain.
