| So, Sen. Obama (aka, the Obamatron, Obaminator, Obaminable Politician man, Ob A Ma, etc) just said in his speech that he will "I will also go through the federal budget line by line. Eliminating programs that no longer work and...." Any way, partially out of context quote, but still, can anyone here think of a program that no longer works? (and really, do you think he'll be willing/have the balls to look at the drug war?) Any way, I'm really happy that I agree with most of his policies, because voting for him as the added perk of the possibility of Barney Frank's bills not being vetoed (as McCain would do), not that I'm banking on 5843 to pass, but if 5842 doesn't I'm gonna be a bit pissed. |

| Its all up to them if you really want to get at it. i mean the population of America is in support but gov hasn't come around yet. so till MOST of Congress gets there heads out there ass, we will still be were we are now. But you and everyone else still need to keep the pressure up. The pot Organization's kinda died down after the 70's then it slowly came back in the nineties and look were we are now. we are moving full force ahead, we just got to keep it up. |

| It was the most positive, moving speech I've ever listened to. He has my vote and yes, I certainly hope he will apply the words he used tonight to the drug war- especially that part about the government needing to be a help to its citizens and not a hindrance... And that part of America leading again- as an Ex-pat- I see it, people used to look at us in awe, they figured if we made a decision, they could at least back it because we had good reasons for those decisions. We were American.... People believed in us, that is gone. It would sure be good to see it come back. | |

| I believe there was a bit of hope in the part where he said he would investigate into every line item of Federal government spending, and cut out the programs that dont work (DEA!?) It was indeed a great speech, and damn, that place was fucking packed! 83,000 or something!?!

| Personally, I thought the speech was good if you're talking about the way the actual speech was being delivered. Obama is a extremely polished public speaker and knows how to move a audience. Unfortunately for Obama, voters like me who are still undecided were watching to find out more about his policies and ideas. What we saw for the most part was a bunch of BS about how we need change and he's the man to do it... Yeah right. How many times have we heard that before? Other than that, the main point emphasized was "we don't need another 8 years of this" Okay. What are you going to do to change that? Then he FINALLY got done beating around the Bush (quite literally) and said something like "Here's what I'm going to do if I'm elected." He then listed a handful of things he would do and for each one he said "I have a plan to do this." What's the plan? Are these the same plans Hillary were mocking all the way through the primaries? I guess I'm just going to have to wait until some debates to see where I really stand in this election. |

| I guess it may be a bit early to tell what he'd do if he were elected, and he is a politician.... And Gsydo, by "change" he means a change in policies, McCain and Bush have many policies in common, not all, but alot. I'm voting for Obama because unlike McCain, he seems serious about getting new forms of energy where McCain looks as though though he's just going through the motions. And Obama Has outlined his plan just about as much as McCain does in his speeches. Yeah, basically I'm saying I think Obama has better policies than McCain, and is also alot smarter, Wikipedia has a lot of info on this (policies, not IQ). |

| I wonder who wrote Mr. Obama's 'passionate speech'. He's a ventriloquist like all politicians, I think sometimes people forget that.... |

| Obama continues to dissapoint. His "change" mantra never seemed more hollow than it did last night. |
