| Really wasn't planning on getting graded on this subject, but your seemed like you were as undecided And upset as I am about you choice so I thought I'd give my opinoin , Instead of spending time to track and quote fact's about either canidate since , If you look deep enough both have swung from one side to another on most issue's , depeneding on time frame and who they were talking to . In short they are both in politic's and now day's that mean's they lie to get your vote and lie to explain why they didn't do what they said they would do !! My basic concept for Government for the people and by the people ,is simple make it like jury duty . why? because if you know after your term you go back where you came from , you would make changes to help people in your class of living meaning no more the rich[10%] making all the rules for the poor[90%] and if you feel this won't work because the normal ever day man or woman doesn't know law , well that don't matter since these yahoo's don't make a move with out 10+ lawyer's telling them it's ok ,the normal guy could do the same. Again just my opinoin |

| Both Obama and Biden have poor leadership skills. Just the other day Barak Obama admitted that the surge was a huge success but just a few months ago he said it was a failure and he would pull the troops out. That shows that he doesn't have the guts to do what is needed or the intestinal fortitude to see a military mission through to the end. I think the term is cut and run. |

But as far as I can see it, I've seen both sides flip and flop regarding statements to the war.

If only someone would start a thread in which everyone who posted responses as to why they don't like a candidate was asked to include sources that showed how one was different than the other. Seriously... stick to the thread, or don't come in the thread. If you don't want to include sources because its a personal thing (like you don't think he's qualified), then show me HOW he is LESS qualified than McCain. Being older != QUALIFICATION Don't make me use the report button. ![]()

| Here are my top reasons (in no particular order) and by no means an exhaustive list. He voted to re-authorize the PATRIOT Act (even though he spoke out against it while campaigning for Senate). He voted for the FISA bill that contained immunity for the telecoms that illegally gave the gov't access to their customer's communications (even though he spoke out against many times prior to his vote). Like all imperialists, he believes the US should force our will on other countries. Like his view on Iran (another country that is not a threat to our national security - unless we attack them). He pledges to shift 10,000 troops from Iraq, into Afghanistan which will do nothing but escalate something that has the potential to be very much worse than Iraq and zero potential of being any better. He has voted time and time again to continue funding the war in Iraq. He supports Georgian President/Dictator Mikheil Saakashvili, who has demonstrators beaten, opposition media shut down prior to elections and who wins elections with 96% of the vote. The same Mikheil Saakashvili who started a war with Russia by attacking South Ossetia (who along with the Abkhazians have had their de facto independence since 91) killing civilians and internationally recognized peacekeepers (some who were Russian citizens). Now he supports Biden's plan (which Bush has already approved) to send Georgia ONE BILLION dollars. Money that the US will have to borrow - mostly from China - even though we've already seen what he does with our money. He chose Joe Biden as his VP who, as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, kept all antiwar voices out of the debate at the Senate hearings (all of whom have turned out to be correct). He is arguably one of the most outspoken members of the war party. He has on his foreign policy team, Madeline Albright who thinks sanctions that killed 500,000 Iraqi children was "worth it", Dennis Ross who has worked for our previous 3 presidents in the same capacity (and also raised money for Scooter Libby's defense fund), and Zbigniew Brzezinski who thinks the creation of the Taliban and supporting Islamic fundamentalism with US tax dollars was a small price to pay to draw the former Soviet Union into an unwinnable war. ![]() The point is, there are almost unlimited reasons why we should be scared sh!tless that one of these two will be our next president. They are both more of the same. | |
