I need LUNCH

One of my mates came up to me the other day informing me that my school is going to be having a debate this tuesday regarding Mccaine, and Obama. I very much anticipate attending. curious, what are everybody's views on these two candidates?

I am voting for Obama/Biden this year. It's the story of his life that has truly change the way I look at him. Yes, his policies are great, but you need to learn the man first. Obama is an incredibly gifted student in college. Right after college, he could of stayed at the firm he was working at. His own big time office, wealthy pockets. And he could have easily stayed that way after he graduated. People also said to him, that he could have easily been the top of this big business in years. Making 6, to 7 figures a year. After he graduated, he packed up and just left. Didn't want the money. He had a $2,000 car, and one suit. Went back to Chicago and worked for the poor. Started his own community organizing group, hired a good group of people that put the poor first, and them second.

I've read 2 books of him, and I am finishing up my 3rd, Dreams from my Father. This book was written by him. He is an incredibly gifted writer. And the thing I like most about it is. It's him writing it. It's not some guy that's getting paid who wants his biography. It's him at his best, and at his worst.

www.ontheissues.org is a good website to a get a basic outline of their political standpoints, but as far as the all the personal bullshit that's gone on - there's far too much to discuss in one post!

I'm going to be voting for McCain, although I am not a huge fan of him. However, I strongly disagree with many of Obama's policies and only slightly disagree with McCain's, so it's more of a "lesser of two evils" sort of thing rather than a full backing.
