We can all agree that voting based on race is a silly thing to do, but the issue here is that those West Virginians admitted to their racism. How many of those 92% stated that race was the sole reason they voted for Obama?

The answer to your question was provided in the first link in my last post.

1% of black voters in West Virginia that were exit polled stated that their vote was in large part based on race.

Here's an interesting little coincidence.....no democrat in 100 years has won the presidency without winning West Virginia. Currently Barak Obama is behind McCain in the West Virginia public opinion polls.

You got that right from Hillary's speech didn't you? Haha.

I'd have to believe that Obama will win for the Democrats. All the democrats who have fell short from Hillary and Obama endorsed either two. I'd like to assume, that any Democrat(Like Hillary) would suck up his/her pride and endorsed the final nominee. Hopefully, that endorsement(Endorsements have helped the candidates) will help Obama in West Virginia.

What exactly is the "coincidence"?

And re: "no democrat in 100 years has won the presidency without winning W Virginia."

OK - And no woman or person of color from any party affiliate has won the Presidency, ever.
Guess those of us who abore the thought of the "cadaver" becoming the next president should put away our toys and run off to bed...

My point is this, you need a broad base of support from within your OWN party to win the general election. Remember that the election is based on electoral votes and its a winner take all from each state. Hillary has won nearly all the big northern states. If Barak has trouble in those states, he'll lose. Barak took nearly all the southern states where African Americans have a significant voice in the democratic party yet are unable to swing the state towards the democrats in the General election. The fact that this fight is going all the way to the convention is an indication that the dems are fractured and I suspect there will be some ill will when its all said and done.

Foreplay between two people is only mildly indicative of the final act between two entirely different people.

1- It's not a fact, and 2- The democrats aren't "fractured", they're simply mining the same vein and sharing the wealth.

Na, everyone loves a good dust up,
and so like all good politicians they're going to take full advantage of a situation whereby they can finally give the public their monies worth...

Single-issue voter? Or do you disagree with the rest of his philosophy in general?

I don't care for the guy because he is too socialist in his political views. He is considered to be the most liberal senator in the US Senate. He even beat out Ted Kennedy for the spot. When he branded with the big "L" that will pretty much be the end to that.
