I hate our govt structure! The two-party system is so damn corrupt, and most Americans think both parties are despicable. Republocrats man, two sides to the same coin. AMERICA: So democratic that it has only one more choice than the commies do! What a farce, we need real leaders who have convictions beyond power and money. Sorry for the rant, but shit pisses me off. These times are just so messed up, and it ain't lookin so good in the near future.

I'm not really sure about the dig at communism? There's nothing inherently non-democratic about communism. In fact, America is very non-democratic - it's a Republic.

Except when any nation has used communism, they could only vote for one party. That's what I meant, and while comm. might look good on paper, it has never been implemented effectively, and without civil rights abuses. Also, I'm pretty sure a Republic can have more than two dominating parties, but in the land of the free you only got two terrible choices, a douche or a turd sandwich. It's kinda depressing, especially seeing all the choices other "democratic" nations have!

Here we go again and again and again and again. The democratic party is dead. As much as I am normally for the democrats (and for those of you who have been on this forum long enough to remember me you know my track record), I can't find a single one that isn't a gimmick.

Hillary's campaign was summed up quite early on the basis that she is a women, and that was the best thing going for her since her senate record is crap.

Obama's been reduced to a token black man, which makes sense considering he is a 1-term senator.

Edward's track record is no better than Hillary's in many cases, and he can be reduced into a male Hillary.
---------------

What should be happening is a call for the parties to collapse. I would love to see a combination ticket of former republicans and former democrats running together to offset some of there extreme takes.

-----

As far as I can see it: Republicans will never own up to mistakes made by previous admisistrations, and so long as all of them want to be Regan's I will never vote for them.

Democrats, equally have nothing else going for them besides not being Republicans.

I say the people of this country need to make a commitment of local and state government, and put themselves in a position to have state governments fighting the federal for a shift in power. We as people of this nation can control the local, but we will never have a strong influence in DC, we should stand together in our own states and combat the federal government left and right until it is forced into submission.

None of them are perfect. You just have to find the one that best represents your interests. Ron Paul on one side or Richardson on the other. Gravel might do what you want done or maybe Kucinich. The list goes on and on and on.......

I disagree. John Edwards has the best knowledge of world affairs and has a very firm grasp on the economic and social problems we have. In my opinion, he would make a great first term president and maybe after he gets a little more experience a great second term one, too.

The reason the candidates don't want to set a troop withdrawal date is because they know enough about world affairs so as not to say something they won't be able to take back.

We need to face a simple fact about Iraq. Economically it may be the best thing the country has done for forty years. We now have a foothold in the last great oil pit, and our boots are on their necks.......

I'm glad I live in the US compared to the Soviet Union or its eastern block brothers of the cold war era. You might dislike this country but our quality of life is far better than anything they experienced. At least in this country, a good lawyer can get you out of jail....that never happened in the Soviet Block or Red China.
