It should come as no surprise to anyone that Hollywood is filled withyoung people that use recreational drugs and alcohol, even if they'reunderage (for the alcohol, not the drugs). Would anyone blink or eventhink twice if Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, or Tara Reid were arrestedtomorrow for a DUI? I think not. As a matter of fact, I'd venture asfar as to say that more than one of you would think, "Well, duh!"

Then why did this come as such a shock to me?

We all remember that cute little kid from the Sixth Sense - Haley Joel Osment.You know, the one that spoke the now famous line, "I see dead people."Well guess what? It seems our little Haley Joel had a slight run inwith the law a few weeks back when his 1995 Saturn met with thebusiness end of a brick mailbox.

Osment,18, has been charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence ofalcohol. Osment has also been charged with driving with a .08 bloodalcohol level or higher, with an enhancement of driving with a .15 orhigher. Osment was also charged with misdemeanor possession ofmarijuana while driving. Finally, Osment was charged with theinfraction of driving under the age of 21 with a blood alcohol level of.05 or higher.

It appears that even the seemingly innocent ones make mistakes.

I am curious as to why so many people,including myself,are so amazed(and some appaled)at the idea that the people we know,love,and admire, smoke pot.As I said in an earlier post,I quit smoking pot for 15 years because i was led to believe that was the cause of all my troubles.I was anti-pot,and anti-drug,except for alcohol cuz it's legal.I have an ex-wife and a wife that will both tell you what an ass I am when drinking.My 13 yr old son has told me he prefers me smoking pot,I get to rambling when I'm stoned.Perhaps we all,especially the more publicly known,need to find a way to stand up for ourselfs and make a move on this anti-marijuana propoganda being fed the world.I would love to see an HONEST report of marijuana causing any real problems.
