|  [The D'Alliance] Too Much Temptation The latest example of the conflict of interest inherent in our asset forfeiture laws: 20law enforcement officers in Virginia, including a sheriff, wereindicted as part of a corruption investigation. They are accused ofreselling drugs and guns they had seized as evidence. It sounds like acomplex operation -- money laundering, middlemen, and evidence stolenfrom the property room.
