| Not being a big coffee drinker, I never considered this. Apparently hotel room coffee pots are a nice tool for cooking up a bit of meth. I have no idea how common this is, but the worry for hotel guests who later make coffee in those coffee pots is the risk of exposure to chemical residues. According to a news report from Alabama, it's easy to tell if a coffee pot has been used to cook meth because it will be stained reddish-orange. The report also helpfully notes that you should be "skeptical" if your room has a "chemical odor." I think that is good advice that transcends issues of hotel room meth labs, but maybe that's just me. Has anyone out there seen this stained coffee pot phenomenon?
