I have a feeling that most of the people in jail are right where they need to be at.

So it would seem that you lump murders, rapists, thieves and MJ users (who are busted for possession) into the same group. We're not talking about generalities here. We are talking specifically about MJ possession. Are you saying that the people who were incarcerated for having MJ in thier possession deserve to be in jail and are "right where they need to be"?

Your kidding? A lot of people were put into jail before DNA evidence came out. We are seeing a lot of people being let out because of advances in forensic sciences, this means some people are innocent. I read a statistic that read 1 out of 100 people of America's population are in jail. 1 out of 100, thats the highest incarceration rate on the planet. Ludicrous and lucrative....

That is too many, not all of these people can be genuine criminals : murderers, rapists and conmen. A lot, but not all, are innocent users who are incarcerated because of unjust laws. They aren't perpetrators of the War on Drugs, they are the victims! The perpetrators are the governmental institutions and prison businesses who continue to profit off this war on freedoms....

You just lost any respect I might have had for your intelligence.

I have never intentionally harmed another human being in my whole life. I've never stolen. I've fought only in self-defense. I contribute a lot of my time and money to good causes. I got caught with less than an ounce of marijuana and received a sentence of one year in jail. Please tell me why I "needed" to be in jail.

Then you might want to try thinking before you post. If you got busted today, would you "need" to be in jail?
