It should be noted that this study was conducted with oral THC only, no other cannabinoids were tested, particularly CBD. Consequently, this study should not be considered anywhere near conclusive on the subject of therapeutic cannabinoids taken orally for acute pain .

Where did you find this information? The article mentions "oral cannabis", not "oral THC". I can't find the study, which would give more details. Did you? I doubt that scientists would be so inexact as to call "oral THC" "oral cannabis".

If it was a topical, it wouldn't be administered orally...

something that is taken orally is eaten, and something that is taken topically is rubbed into the skin.

IMHO, if you are attempting to do a "study" on something that millions of people use... 18 people is an insult to science itself.

But, there are oral topical gels, etc., that do go in the mouth. Oragel, for one example. Not to mention the numbing agent dentists use on the gums...
