WI: Death Of WI Man Uncovers Marijuana-Growing Operation

Wis. -- Dane County sheriff's officials say they discovered a marijuana-growing operation while investigating the death of a man at his Town of Westport home.

Sheriff's deputies obtained a search warrant for the house after they were called to investigate the death of 27-year-old Travis Khazae.

Khazae's father, Hamid, discovered his son's body after he went to check on his welfare.

Dane County Deputy Coroner Colleen Little pronounced the younger Khazae dead at the scene.

A cause of death has not been determined.

A search warrant says detectives found 125 marijuana plants, three shopping bags that contained marijuana, several pieces of equipment for growing marijuana and a variety of pills, including steroids.
