Well said Higher Self! What those that don't use marijuana don't understand about it, is that it's all about tolerance. Compare it to alcohol. Regular drinkers build up a tolerance and can drink more, or need to to get a buzz. If you drink very infrequently, it won't take much for you to get drunk. It's the same with marijuana, regular users build up a tolerance and can smoke or ingest more than someone who rarely smokes. Once a tolerance is built up, you get used to it and can function normally. How many alcoholics go undetected until something happens to bring attention to the fact the person is an alcholic? Regular users of marijuana can go undetected as well because they can function normally. I have personally been made imobile by too much marijuana when I first started smoking it, as I was the first time I got drunk. So yes, marijauna can cause physical impairment in someone that consumes too much at once when they aren't used to it. As with alcohol, how much you use will decide how stoned you get. The best part is that unlike alcohol, all you have to do is wait the buzz out. The high from marijuana doesn't last as long as being drunk on alcohol and there are no nasty morning after effects.

Most parents wouldn't recommend alcohol to their children either. Besides, that is why the saying "Do as I say, not as I do" was created. Most parents do a lot of things they wouldn't recommend their children do.
