The reason Alcohol prohibition only lasted a few years is because the mafia was killing good agents and cops every day. This was a time when Christians were trying to force their will upon everyone else. If pot smokers were violent (yeah right?! ~laughs~) and we killed good agents and cops everyday, you would see the prohibition of Marijuana end within 5yrs. See the government has people fooled by thinking that talking, marching and voting is the end all say all. I don't know where the rest of you fools are from but we have two coloseiums that the people voted down and behold they rise like it was a yes vote. And we have laws voted in by the people of America that say leave the pot smokers alone, yet we still get harrased by federal aspect of this "disease" ~coughs~.

OldHippy, i agree with you completely. Alcohol has too many draw backs. Ghanja is not addictive,does not create a hangover, and is not harmful as booze. I prefer to smoke rather to drink. I can enjoy it better and rember more than I can on booze . We must keep up the good fight to legalize.

occult pizza, prohibition lasted for 14 yrs, not a couple. and it was not christians, but bible thumper women who wanted equal rights amendment who started the prohibition. i think you need to do more research before you say anything else.

What a nice, tranquill story.

I smoke every day. Actually, I just finished off a wonderful joint about 10 minutes ago, before I came to this site. I'd have to say that I'm pretty responsible. Although I'm a horrible speller, I've still managed to get a 4.0 at college. (And, I smoked every day before class, at that!)

And, being in college, it's only fitting that I have a crappy job. I deliver food. So yes, I spend a fair amount of time driving under less than sober conditions, but I'm not a menace. I've been smoking long enough that I know my limits.

Oh, and the Da Vinci Code is a wonderful book. It's caused me to read things I've never thought about. I'm in the middle of the Gosple of Mary of Magdala right now...

Wow! Someone who reads Gnostic text? That is awesome :0) You probably already know but I'll say it anyways ~grins~. There are some very good audio lectures on some of the Gnostic Sites. I have been studying the Nag Hammadi library for a couple years now. It has been a great learning experience for me personally :0)
