Now that med. mj is here, there needs to be a realistic distribution system put into place. Not everyone will be able to grow their own.

Yeah! Co-ops of greenhouses with HID lights and you give me your prescription and I'll grow it for you for cost. Law enforcement protection so I'm protected just like any other not for profit business is. Big time penalties for anybody trying to steal a buzz from me because your stealing medicine from cancer patients, etc.

Yeah, Plainsworld would be a happy place.

And it sucks...the feds love to use the term "conspiracy" and they are grouping 5 or so people together to form one. This "drug ring" they (dea) are calling it collectivly had over 1000 plants of a strain called p91, this amount of plants carries a minimum mandatory 10 years in prison. Its ****ed up man......the street value if sold in bulk was easily 4500 per pound in san diego and it was on the level of trainwreck...it wasnt any commerical weed by any means.......later...****kid

Not only do they exaggerate the street value, but also the amounts seized (weights) which further inflates the values they figure for the bust.

There was a bust in my area recently where these kids were dealing a large amount of weed out of their apartment. The police not only weighed the pot wet (it's NC...apparently it's been ruled that they can do that ), they weighed the packages it was in and also figured in a hypothetical amount that the kids had already sold over the past 3 years!!! Now how in the h*** can they possibly determine how much weed these kids had sold if there's no evidence of it is what I want to know. I think the actual amount (dry) that they seized was somewhere around 16 lbs but the police blotter stated that the total amount they were being charged for was like 75 to 100 lbs! The street value given was some ridiculously high amount that no one, I repeat, no one in this area would have paid, not even for top quality bud. I'll have to dredge up the article and see what the figure actually was.

I live in San Diego and i am very proud to say that for around a 2 year period i was able to enjoy the fruits of Socal...ie P-91 or P-nodge as it was more commonly reffered to... and trust me this bud was definately worth every penny of the 5000 for a pound. no matter how much the price was people always buy. even though most of the houses are gone there is still a few surviving plants and supplies are starting to increase. its more of a delight for conessuiers such as myself. the VERY VERY potent smell that comes from it is almost uncontainable (it smells through anything). but if anyone ever comes up into the northern part of san diego county definately take some time to try and find some P. the main harvests have been coming about every 3 months and one just came in about mid-January so April is the best hope if u plan to visit.

Default Socal Herbals

Most of the cannabis, which was genetically engineered to be considerably stronger than ordinary marijuana, was grown in rental properties in such residential areas as Del Mar, Mira Mesa and Rancho Penasquitos, Vigil said.

"And (it was) being sold for between 4,000 and 5.500 (dollars) per pound," he added.

ok now first off this herb was better than any trainwreck i have ever seen (which is getting more plentiful in the suburban area of san diego). i believe it was something like 12 "P" houses were raided, but fortunately a few plants escsped and one house missed the raid so it still lives on. prior to the bust it was priced at around 350 an ounce and about 5000 for a pound. the smell was stronger than any skunk #1 ive had and the second most potent bud ive ever had (second only to a true batch of G-13).....so if anyone is ever up in the section of San Deigo called Poway i suggest you look for some... ohh yea and poway is the origin of it as the name suggests "p" for poway and "91" for the year the kids graduated from Poway High School which were the head of the "Ring" ... no matter how rediculous you may say the price is IT IS WORTH IT. this herb is the *hit

Selective breeding and genetic engineering, in my opinion, are two different things. Breeding plants and ATTEMPTING to get the best of both plants is one thing (selective breeding) and splicing DNA in a lab to create a new plant (genetic engineering) is totally another thing.
The DEA would have you think that there are criminal organizations out there that have some kind of lab with scientists bioengineering strains of superpot in a petri dish. Not happening, people. Growers doing selective breeding, yes.
