You know what, even if the nonsense coming out of Glen's mouth were true, I'd still be cool with that, because my leanings are far left. We NEED government, as a species we are not capable of functioning well without some kind of unifying institution. That's government.

I think we can have a lot of gov't helping us out, maintaining our infrastructure, and protecting public safety without us turning into Nazi Germany or Orwell's Oceania. Look at the Fins or Norwegians.

The "New Deal", was a life saving event for the whole USA. Of course the convergence of marijuana,and alcohol situation is hard to believe! In any case ,maybe there's too much money on the opposition's side to quit the "way things are", and make them the "things to come". It's not quite"Apples,and Oranges",but we wish it was!

I see what your saying but i believe in what Beck said. I beleive in personal freedom with only moderate regulation from the Gov. The gov to me is growing and growing and it has been the last well for as long as i have been alive. maybe Becks table is different but i still beleive in his. Gov control or anarchy. To me the Democrats are the new Socialist (GM, Banks, Ins and who knows what else may come) and the republicans well there just as bad, there both saying F the People and were going to do what we want. Hell the Republicans are actually contemplating Amnesty and McCain already has said on numerous occasions that he would be in favor just to give an example, which i'm sure there are others.

But like i said, i see what your trying to say but i can't say i believe in it, because the only difference is what party is in power and what companies they favor.

" that is exactly why I think that both the Democrats and Republicans are to the right of center, they both do what is good for big business at the expense of the working and middle classes. Clinton gave us free trade with Mexico (NAFTA) and W. deregulated finance (we see how well that worked). Fox happens to be a bit more to the right of CNN, but even CNN is often biased in favor of corporations. Today the media are all saying how great it is for Iraq that they are going to privatize their oil. How is this great? How is letting a multi national company take the profits from the oil out of the country better than having the national oil service keep the profits in the county and using the weath for social services????? The BS big media has us believe that what is good for the ultra rich is good for all and that is just plain bullshit. And all the while they tell us how evil cannabis is and why it should not be legal bla bla bla.... the world is run by assholes in most places, and is run for corporations in most places with the possible exceptions of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany.
