I thought we had "too much government" anyway.... that's what I keep hearing.....

Long time lurker seldom poster,

But i'd have to say that the 700,000 people getting harrased for nothing all got a fine, and the states have that much more money to turn around and keep the wheel spinning.

WHy just last month i was given a ticket for expired tabs and a defective headlight after informing the officer he couldn't search my car.

I have contacted my lawyer and i am contesting this to the fullest. I dont need a couple hundered dollar fine for forgetting, and not getting to walmart before they close because i have a J O B.

Elcock said terrorist attacks "cost little" to undertake, citing one estimate that put the cost for Al Qaeda to mount the World Trade Center attacks at "a couple of hundred thousand dollars."

Funny, when I was arguing that the 9/11 attacks didn't take tons of money, I was told that I was wrong because the media said it did.

Guess I wasn't wrong.

If they really want to hit terrorism maybe they'll crack down on the international diamond trade.

Agreeing with you more than once in a day is creeping me out

But you are right. They've made some efforts in that area, but they haven't done as much at they could.

Consider this. Inherent in equal protection of law, is, well equal protection. You possibly pay taxes "without protest", to support terrorists, who enjoy "sovereign immunity" which effectivly does away with any constitutional rights I might have otherwise had. (The reason they're called civil, is well people get uncivil for violations. well duh.) At times, I hope to be able to file real criminal charges, in a court of competent jurisdiction. You, and your "professionals", testi-liars, may be charged, and found guilty of violating the law. The charges, "may overwhelm you", as you ponder the real significance of life...

One supposes, one should spend ones time, reading the latest voluminous (Diahrehtoric) offal passed by Congress, (STATE AND FED.) bills, passed as law, supposing they can waive our, (certainly not your, [you're possibly so timid you stay at home?]) "Rights", and if that doesn't pass, other maloderous porksh*t, written in with it, (the bill you assume law)(Probably a code) will prove me guilty, 'cause I can't establish my innocence. Once again, If I can just find a court not busy installing dictator 'freedom facist' 'quazi nazis', or forcing the innocent to plead guilty, see Dyett v Turner... RRRIIIIIIGHT!!!

Gotta say More Government = More prisoners........IMO The power needed by the government to protect is in place already. Many executive orders have been passed as to allow the use of "non military" i.e. POLICE, FBI, DEA, CAP, and other for lack of a better term "paramilitary" groups(GUNS + ARMOR +INTELLIGENT COMMAND = MILITARY) in the event of national emergency.(I would consider terrorist plots in America a national emergency)I would like to see a new Wave through government The wave goodbye of job lossees in the government. Most other job providers are cutting jobs, while our government is getting bigger every day. Less public jobs mean less taxes to fund the expanding government, wich in return must take money from the public by jailing us, stealing our homes, cars, boats, and any other thing we own, and auctioning it for pennies on the dollar to pay there checks.
More power is the last thing the government needs...IMHO How much more than all do you need?

P.S. Just an afterthought. I don't wish any harm to any man. Nor do I curse any government employees. You have a job to police me. And we have a job to police you!!!

WHy just last month i was given a ticket for expired tabs and a defective headlight after informing the officer he couldn't search my car.

So you are stating that the fact that your headlight was out and your tabs were expired had NOTHING to do with it?

Sounds like 2 good reasons to stop the car in the first place.......and you only need one reason.

I have contacted my lawyer and i am contesting this to the fullest. I dont need a couple hundered dollar fine for forgetting, and not getting to walmart before they close because i have a J O B.

Attorney's get rich off that thinking. You're going to pay him money to contest a charge that is incredibly easy to prove you are guilty of. State records will show you didn't renew your tabs on time and they might even bother to bring in proof that they mailed you a reminder.

And the headlight was either working or it wasn't. Yeah, I know sometimes it's inconvienient (which is why I usually write a "fix-it" ticket that gives you 10 days to get it fixed), but there are 168 hours in the week. NOBODY works that many hours.
