There's a difference between CAUSING prohibition and keeping it alive. What you're referring to is sheer lazyness on the part of the stoners you personally know. That's not the cause of prohibition. That's just one of the obstacles in the way. And just because you personally know some people who don't get involved doesn't mean that all of us are. You are welcome to turn to stereotypes to describe your personal environment but to a) say smokers CAUSE prohibition and b) that all of them are like that is just not true.

IMO, pot smokers have no obligation to get organized with NORML. Who am I to judge someone if they don't put their own time and effort into it. Hell, baby seal clubbing is a terrible thing, but I'm not gonna go calling someone evil or lazy because they don't put their time into joining anti-clubbing groups. What someone gets involved in is up for them to decide because it's not MY time and effort.. it's theirs. Sure, I would love if every pot smoker got involved with the movement, but face the facts... Not everyone regards marijuana the same way me and you do. To them it's not one of those things that is important enough to spend time on it, and I'm not going to blame them because they certainly didn't create prohibition.. they just have no big motivation to work for legalization.. and I believe that's totally up to them
