Funny I have heard the same thing about the opp from RCMP. It is probably much like the Sheriffs and City Police here in America. They are always quibbling over who is the best.

Aw, isn't that just sad. All of law enforcment should unite under a flag of suckiness, because thats what they do: suck. They know if they didn't have crims like drug use and speeding tickets, they would all be out of the job. They need to all agree that half of their arrests were pointless.

Cheers all you law enforcement pansies, may you choke on your meaningless marijuana arrest paperwork.

Default Amended title: Marijuana plants tipped off to RCMP

This is a very good thing. Regardless of who got them. The jig was up and time to split. I'm sure the owners weren't too happy but at least they went to some good home better than an incinerator It's a shame that this innocent herb can evoke such animosity from individuals.

Why does it take an inquiry to realize the obvious? If they had NOT roped off the building and alerted the growers that they were busted and simply come back the next day with a search warrant, the plants would have still been there and the arrest would have been made. Duh!!!

Keystone Cops in action!

Well, I'm glad the growers (or whomever) got the plants out before they came back with the warrant.

Yes the OPP and RCMP have never gotten along well, but they are more comparable to your State police versus the Feds. The RCMP are federal and OPP are provincial, the provincial don't like their toes stepped on by the Feds the same as State police don't like getting their toes stepped on by the DEA or FBI, etc.

Actually I think the fire would have alerted the growers anyway without the police tape. They would have heard about the fire in a small town in no time and would have to figure their operation would have been discovered. They probably went back in the middle of the night to see the damage and found the place deserted and decided to rescue their plants. Not a smart move on behalf of the RCMP and I'm sure someone will be held responsible. We won't hear about it though. Heh, it could have been grow rippers that got lucky and ripped off the RCMP of their bust. That's too funny. I can imagine the look on their faces when they walked into the barn or whatever and discovered it empty.

I would have to agree. It was probably either a rogue pothead fireman, a couple of firemen or it was the growers themselves.
