JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – Three South African police officers were arrested after a woman complained that they had stolen her marijuana, SAPA news agency reported on Monday.

Police said the 37-year-old woman came to a police station in a Pretoria township to complain about the missing drugs.
"She alleged that the suspects were police officials of which one of them was known to her and was spotted by a witness taking the (marijuana) from the woman's shack," SAPA quoted an inspector as saying.

The police officers denied any knowledge of the drugs when questioned, but some 60 kg of marijuana, worth about 60,000 rand (4,865 pounds), was found at the home of one of them.

( I guess the old police man shut the hell up after they found the herb at his house..........Especially after he just lied to them about it...........)

Police said they had arrested three officials on charges of defeating the ends of justice, corruption and drug possession.
The woman who complained was also charged with drug dealing.

( This article caught my eye because of the new law they were charged with violating. "Defeating The Ends Of Justice," This sounds about as vague a law as you could find. I guess it's probably tagged on there because they want them to do as much time as possible..............Ded.....}

Wow! That's intense! So even though it's illegal to pocess drugs in her area she still reported it as stolen.. I wonder if she did it because it was a cop, or because if she couldn't have it, no one could? Does anyone know the severity of drug dealing charges there?

I am more interested if she is a drug lord, and if yes why would she go to the police?

25 kilos of pot is no laughing matter, thats roughly 50-55 pounds of weed.

If she was a drug lord? 50 or 55 lbs. doesn't make you a drug lord, it just makes you a lbs. dealer, that's all...........

She went to the police because of revenge, pure and simple. She can't get her herb back so she turns the cops in for doing the rip. It was really a scary move because she could be snuffed in a second trying to snitch on cops.........

They protect their own........

You make a good point. If she is a drug lord then she can kind of be screwed by this. I mean the police will probably frequently check in on her because of this. If she was a drug lord I doubt she would have snitched on the cops though.
